A lawyer, politician, and the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born in 25 December 1876. His father Jinnahbhai Poonja was a prosperous Gujarati merchant and mother Mithibai. Jinnah was the second child he had three brothers and three sisters, including his younger sister Fatima Jinnah. When Muhammad Ali Jinnah was 6 years old, his father placed him in the Sindh Madrasatul-Islam School. In August 1896 Jinnah moved to Bombay with his law degree in hand. Jinnah attended a meeting of the Indian National Congress in 1904. He joined the congress himself in 1906. During 1940, meeting of the Muslim League at Lahore, Jinnah proposed the partition of India and the creation of Pakistan, . Pakistan became an independent state in 14th August, 1947. Jinnah was sworn in as Pakistan’s first governor-general. He died on 11th September, 1948 at Karachi.
